The Hotel Iris is situated on the border between the two districts of San Polo and Dorsoduro, along the Fondamenta del Forner in a quiet and secluded area, only a short walk from the ferry port San Tom, the church Santa Maria Gloriosa dei Frari and the Scuola di San Rocco (School of Saint Rocco). In the immediate vicinity visitors will find Ca'Foscari, the seat of the University of Venice, Ca'Rezzonico, site of the Museum of Eighteenth Century Venetian Art and Campo Santa Margherita, where many Venetians, tourists and students go for the typical "spritz.". Built in 1700 and renovated in 2003, this air-conditioned hotel comprises a total of 45 rooms spread over 5 floors. The hotel's facilities include a pleasant lobby, a 24-hour reception desk, lifts and a bar as well as a restaurant. Guests are offered 2 types of room: 24 rooms with an en suite bath and shower and 6 with a shared bathroom.
