Hotel Galeno is a 2 stars hotel in Rome located just a few steps from the historical Porta Pia, one of the last most important Michelangelos-ns works of art which was the stage of the famous Porta Pia Breach, by the Italian army, in 20 September 1870. The surrounding quarter is very quiet and safe, far from urban noise but, at the same time, it offers a strategic starting point for your visit throughout the eternal city. The most important Roman attractions are easily reachable from the Hotel by bus or by tube. From Porta Pia bus stops, a two minutes walking from the hotel, bus number 62 will bring you to the Vatican; bus number 60 to the magnificent Coliseum. Bus number 84 will bring you to the city centre, Piazza Venezia. From here, walking down Via del Corso, one of the main shopping street of the city, you can easily reach the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon and Navona square. The Hotel is even very close to two tube stops, line B, Castro Pretorio and Policlinico.
