This region offers ready access to volcanoes, rainforest canopy tours, waterfalls, hot springs, and of course, any type of beach and water sports you can imagine. And now, you can fly directly into our province from many airports in North America. Making this region of Costa Rica even easier to reach the beach. Hotel Bula Bula is located in Playa Grande, on the Pacific Northwest of Costa Rica. The 5 kilometer white sand beach boasts one of the most consistent surf breaks in Costa Rica and is known for incredible barrels. The nearly private beach is also a terrific place to unwind and collect seashells. Tamarindo, a town featured in the surfing movie Endless Summer II is just across the estuary. We are on the Tamarindo estuary (where the Pacific ocean extends inland to meet the mouth of the Rio Matapalo) and about a 5 minute walk to the beach. Bula Bula is a phrase common to many world cultures generally meaning the point where your body and soul can be described as "Happy, Happy."
