The Hotel Baudelaire is a comfortable, hotel in the centre of Paris, 5 minutes by foot from the Opera House and 8 minutes by foot from the Louvre. The street is a quiet, one-lane street behind the Avenue de l’Opera, thus ideally situated for tourism and shopping, surrounded by restaurants but a haven of peace after a busy day! We are within easy walking distance from most major attractions and several metro stations. All the rooms have been redecorated and lots of them have wooden beams. They all have a private shower or bath/shower room with toilet, cable/satellite TV, radio, mini-bar, safe, direct phone and modem connection facilities. Ask us anytime for advice - restaurants, excursions, shops…Have a sit-down in the lounge or meet up with friends…A cup of tea ? Are Baudelaire’s steps still echoing on the three hundred year-old staircase? Continental breakfast downstairs… Plan your day over croissants and coffee – or English tea! Sleep in style in a split-level duplex room with double or twin beds on a mezzanine, seating and comfortable sofa-bed below. Beams from another age, a historical reminder…The wall are insulated for maximum quiet and the top-quality beds ensure restful sleep. Paris is divided into 20 areas, called “arrondissements” that snail out from the centre. The middle arrondissement is number one. We are located in arrondissement two, though half of the street is in arrondissement one. We are above the river Seine, right in the middle of Paris. Local areas inside arrondissements are called “quartiers”, literally meaning segments. We are in the Opera quartier, next to the Louvre quartier.
