Location In the delightful setting of a Venetian courtyard, hidden on a quiet side street, the hotel stands directly opposite the opera house La Fenice in the heart of this magical city. It is extremely close to the Ateneo Veneto di Scienze, Lettere e Arti, founded as a fusion between the Societa Veneta di Medicina, the Accademia dei Filareti and the Accademia Veneta Letteraria. The city centre, the Piazza San Marco and the Ponte di Rialto are in the immediate vicinity. Venice International Air Facilities The historic building was once the residence of wealthy merchant families. In1959 the premises were converted into a hotel by the upper class Sereni family. This city hotel comprises a total of 21 rooms spread over 4 floors and offers guests a wonderful view over the canal "Dei Barcaioli", reserved exclusively for gondolas. Thanks to the complete restoration carried out in 2002 the building has the unspoilt charm of a typical 17th century Venetian residence. This is reflected in the material and damask of the rooms, as well as in the antique furnishings, which are combined with all the latest conveniences to ensure guests a pleasant and comfortable stay. In the hotel rooms guests can really soak up the magical atmosphere of Venice. Guests are welcomed in the foyer with a reception desk manned around the clock, a safe, room service and a breakfast room. Rooms The elegant en suite rooms are fitted with a hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, satellite TV, a radio, and Internet access In addition to this a minibar with drinks and snacks, a double bed, individually adjustable air conditioning and heating and a safe all come as standard. Meals A continental breakfast with cheese and cold meats is served as a buffet. Payment All major credit cards, such as American Express, Diners Club, JCB, MasterCard and VISA, are accepted as methods of payment. Cheques and travellers' cheques are not accepted. Misc. By Ali-Laguna shuttle: Take the shuttle to Piazza S. Marco (transfer time around 80 minutes). From Piazzale Roma: Take a private water taxi directly to the jetty in front of the hotel (transfer time around 10 minutes). Via public transport: take Line 1 or 82 to "Vallaresso" (transfer time: approximately 30 minutes). From Santa Lucia railway station: Take a private water taxi directly to the jetty in front of the hotel (transfer time around 20 minutes).
