Recently opened, Anja is a nice 2-star hotel in Skopje. Centrally located, it is a good accommodation for leisure travellers in Macedonia. The hotel is situated on the upper floor of the Anja Cafe, renowned as one of the best cafes along the river Vardar and beloved by the fashionable people of Skopje. Skopje is internationally known as Mother Teresa's birthplace, a good example of the helpful and hospitable character of the local people. In 1963 the city underwent a dramatic earthquake and was nearly completely destroyed. Nevertheless Skopje has been quickly blossoming out and is today an exciting holiday destination. Located in a pedestrian area in the city centre, Anja Hotel is a valuable starting point for a trip to Macedonia.
