The Alt Speyer is a small, family-run hotel in Germany. It is located in the sleepy town of Speyer and is a quiet and peaceful area to have your holiday. It is an excellent choice for cyclists as it is close to several bike trails and has a garage for bicycles. Guests can easily travel by bike to Heidelberg, Mannheim, Karlsruhe, Mainz and all along the wine route. Guests of the hotel also have easy access to the central part of Speyer, where they can visit many attractions. This is one of Germany’s oldest cities and you will love strolling along its streets to look in shop windows, dining at outdoor cafes and visiting its historic buildings. Not to be missed is the Speyer Cathedral and the Old Speyer City Gate. The hotel itself is a beautiful place to stay. Its main feature is the vault, which is an old cellar from 1865 that now is home it a culinary school. Here, guests can take cooking classes and learn how to prepare amazing gourmet cuisine. You can also dine on a wonderful meal here, or make use of the catering service.
