The Hotel Alimandi Vaticano is located just 5 stops from Termini Railway Station and around 700 m away from Ottaviano underground station. It is right by the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel, and the area is very calm with plenty of very nice restaurants where guests can enjoy some Roman specialities. Nearby guests can find anything they may need such as banks, post offices, many different restaurants and bars where they can enjoy some Roman delights or a quick snack, as well as grocery stores, cinemas, fashion boutiques and many other conveniences. The hotel is the ideal departure point to discover Rome as guests can reach any point of Rome in few minutes on the underground. The hotel building was originally a police department office, but today is a luxurious hotel. Built in 1930, the air-conditioned hotel offers 24 rooms (3 of them suites) in total and welcomes guests into a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out service, hotel safe, currency exchange facilities, lift access and a hairdressing salon. It also offers guests use of a bar, breakfast room, WLAN Internet access, a laundry service and an undercover parking garage. The rooms are decorated in different styles and are all furnished with all modern comforts. The hotel has rooms of different kinds and categories in order to satisfy the demands of all guests. Elegantly decorated, they are equipped with individually regulated air-conditioning and heating, ADSL Internet connection, an answering machine, computer connection points, a direct dial telephone, radio and satellite TV. Other in-room amenities include a minibar, hairdryer, safe, slippers, alarm clock, shaver points, shampoo, soap, smoke detectors, soundproof windows and an ironing set. Each room also features a double bed, en-suite bathroom with shower and bathtub, and a private terrace. A breakfast buffet is served each morning. From Fiumicino Airport, take the train from the airport to Termini Station. It is called Leonardo Express and leaves every 30 minutes - follow the instructions from Termini station as below. From Ciampino Airport, take the bus shuttle from the airport to the underground line A station Anagnina, and then alight at Ottaviano-St. Peter station. From Termini station, take the underground line A for 6 stops and get off at Ottaviano-St. Peter. From Ottaviano-St. Peter underground station, exit the underground onto Via Giulio Cesare and follow the Via Leone IV. At the first traffic lights, turn left. Then follow signs for the Vatican Museums. The hotel is at number 99 on Viale Vaticano.
