One of the older hotels in Siena, the Hotel Alex Siena is within a short walking distance of many of Siena's premier attractions, including the spot where the world-famous Palio di Siena, a horse race, takes place. The hotel is close to Porta Pispini, one of the gates that opens into what was once the center of the city, and to the famous Piazza del Campo. Since it's so close to downtown Siena, many of the city's attractions are within walking distance; you can also access the city and the rest of Tuscany through public transportation and trains. This beautiful old hotel has plenty of comfortable rooms, which are large and are furnished in a modern style. All the rooms have both heating and air conditioning, en suite bathrooms, and satellite television, and most rooms also include a minibar. The Hotel Alex Siena was once a family mansion, and it features a large terrace and a private garage for the use of its guests.
