Gangneung is a city in South Korea's Gangwon Province on the east coast of the country. Gangneung is the hub of all economic activities in the Yeongdong region and the city's historical significance has made it a popular tourist destination in South Korea. The Hotel Agni is located on Jumunjin Beach, close to Yongpyung Ski Resort and Mount Sorak. It is 5km from the city centre and 35km from Yangyang.
