Once you walk into the Restaurant with its opulent gold colour scheme, luxury furnishings and fabulous golden mirror, you know that you are in for a meal to remember. The classical French cuisine goes back to the Head Chefs homeland but with an abundance of quality products on the doorstep, you are sure to find a touch of Scotland when looking through the menu. The Bistro gives guests the opportunity to enjoy the fabulous food in a more informal environment. The menu changes regularly giving the Head Chef the opportunity to put a twist on some traditional classics. With a dedicated child's menu this is the ideal place to bring the whole family. The bar includes an extensive range of soft and alcoholic beverages including regularly changing Real Ales from local Breweries. If shopping is your thing, nearby Peebles offers a boutique shopping experience or head 20 miles North onto Edinburgh's Princes Street for High Street fashion with all of the big names and the latest trends. For those that prefer a bit of fresh air then the Scottish Borders is the place to come. From high octane action at Glentress Cycling to the more sedate splendour of Kailzie and Dawyck Gardens. As there are a limited number of tables available in the very popular bistro, guests are requested to state whether they would like to reserve a table when making their booking (subject to availability). Guests are also requested to leave an email address in the special requests section so that the hotel may confirm whether a table can be reserved. PLEASE NOTE: Full English Breakfast is not available for guests staying on Sunday Nights, the hotel does however porvide a Continental Breakfast on Monday mornings.
