Location With its own private marina, this hotel is situated on the Intercoastal Waterway just 100 yards from the white sandy beaches of the Gulf of Mexico and very close to the Museum of Science & Nature/IMAX cinema. Guests will find the nearest restaurant just a 1-minute drive away and Sassys Martini Bar and the Galleria Plaza shopping venue are both just 6 minutes away by car. It is 8 minutes to the Portobello Square Shopping Centre and the centre of Clearwater is just a 29-minute drive away Facilities This unique family-friendly beach hotel comprises a total of 178 rooms and offers guests 5 different room types from which to choose; from standard rooms (that are anything but) to 2-storey villa style accommodation. Located at Indian Rocks beach, half-way between Clearwater and St. Petersburg on Florida's Gulf Coast. Facilities on offer to guests at this air-conditioned establishment include a lobby area, a hotel safe, a children's playground, a restaurant and conference facilities. Rooms The rooms sleep up to 4 persons and have courtyard views. They include 2 queen-size beds, data port phones with voice mail facility, a coffee maker, a mini fridge, a hairdryer, an ironing set and a ceiling fan. The Key West Studio units sleep up to 4 persons and feature courtyard views. They include all of the above as well as a microwave, a 2-burner stove, and a toaster. The Sunset Condo Suites sleep up to 4 persons and have views of the Intercoastal Waterway. The units include a living room (with a pull-out sofa bed), a kitchen/dining area with a full-size fridge, a stove, a microwave oven, a dishwasher and a separate bedroom with 2 queen-size beds. The Sunset Condo Villas enjoy courtyard views and the Marina Condo Villas have waterway views. Both sleep up to 4 persons, with a maximum of 2 adults and feature, on the 1st floor, a living room (with a sofa bed), a dining room, a fully equipped kitchen and a balcony. The second floor has a lofted bedroom with a king-size bed, a large walk-in closet, and a spacious bathroom with a spa tub and a walk-in shower. Furthermore, all accommodation comes with a private bathroom with a shower/bath. Sports/Entertainment Boat rentals can be arranged at the hotel marina. The hotel itself features 2 swimming pools (1 of which is heated), including a large free-form swimming pool with waterfalls and a pirate ship, all beside a children's play area. Guests can relax on the sun terrace, work out in the gym or play beach volleyball. The hotel also provides guests with tennis equipment to use on the establishment's courts. Golf enthusiasts can play a round at the Bay Pointe Golf Course, which is just 10 minutes by car from the hotel. Meals The hotel restaurant Jimmy Guana's is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner; serving up fresh Florida seafood and other culinary treats. The bar features some of the best frozen drinks on the coast. How to get there Guests coming from Tampa and Tampa International Airport should take the Interstate 275 South and cross the Howard Franklin Bridge. Once on the other side of the water, take the Largo/688 Exit (#31) and follow it for approximately 20 km. At this point they should approach the Indian Rocks drawbridge. Once on the other side of the bridge, take the first left before reaching the lights and following the signs to the hotel.
