The four star Grof Degenfeld Castle Hotel, which is situated in Tarcal, in picturesque surrounding, in the heart of the Tokaj-Hegyalja wine region welcomes guests who like excellent wine, nature and want to have a rest of high standard. The Degenfeld family who is of German-Hungarian origin played an important part in the life of Tokaj-Hegyalja even in the middle of the 19th century. The family feels bound to the tradition of Tokaj and guarantees excellent wine quality with their name. In the four star hotel, reconstructed from a historical mansion, in the middle of the one hundred hectare vineyard, there are twenty double bedrooms and one suite. The rooms are equipped with Empire furniture and fascinate with their fabric and colour harmony. The salon and the library are located on the ground floor and are equipped with antique furniture, old paintings and Venetian chandeliers reflecting the atmosphere of the 19th century. The elegant restaurant and the charming sun terrace expect the guests with exquisite delicacies and excellent wines. The side room can be booked for business and private events as well as for receptions which set high standards. The undisturbed, peaceful rest is made complete by a summer swimming-pool with stretched water surface, massage and sauna.
