The Grand Hotel Timeo by Orient-Express is located opposite the ruins of the Roman/Greek theater, in the center of the ancient town of Taormina, with its Baroque architecture, ancient churches, and a wide variety of shops and restaurants. Taormina is located between Messina in the north and Catania in the south, connected by the A18 motorway. The airport is Fontanarossa in Catania, an hour’s drive away from the Grand Hotel Timeo by Orient-Express. Taormina is on the Messina-Catania line, with trains traveling frequently in both directions. The 83 air-conditioned guest rooms and suites in the Grand Hotel Timeo by Orient-Express have antique-style furnishings. All rooms have balconies or terraces. Bathrobes and slippers are provided. Each room has a minibar. Some rooms are located in the new annex. The Grand Hotel Timeo by Orient-Express has two buildings, the original and a newly constructed annex called the Villa Flora. There is an outdoor pool, and lush gardens. The restaurant Il Dito e La Luna serves Sicilian and Mediterranean cuisine. The bar, La Zagara, has distinctive architecture.
