Forty-five minutes from Burlington's airport and cultural attractions, and only a half mile from the alpine hideaway of Stowe, the Golden Eagle Resort is just a few minutes away from skiing, biking and other recreational activities at Stowe's Mt. Mansfield. With a 3-star Mobil guide rating, the property features 89 comfortable rooms and amenities appealing to families and couples, including a shuttle running up the Mountain Road every 20 minutes during ski season to Stowe Resort. The resort features a heated indoor pool open year-round, 80 acres of open land laced with cross-country ski trails and a skating pond, a fitness center, hot tub and sauna on-site and therapeutic massages available, the Golden Eagle caters to the active vacationer. Nestle in front of a roaring fire in one of the Golden Eagle's mini-suites and efficiency apartments, and take in unparalleled views of Mt. Mansfield available from the many private balconies and patios. All rooms feature color televisions, individual heat and air conditioning, refrigerators and coffee makers, while many have kitchens, fireplaces, private patios or whirlpools. The Colonial Coffee Shop is open daily for breakfast from 7am-10:30am, with a menu of hearty Vermont breakfasts. Dig into country eggs with breakfast meats, pancakes with real Vermont maple syrup, and homemade breads and muffins baked daily--it's the perfect start to a day in the Vermont countryside.
