Hotel garni Geldernhaus enjoys a very peaceful setting in the southern outskirts of the town of Oberstdorf and yet is central enough for guests who would like to reach the town centre within a few minutes’ walk. Oberstdorf lies in the Allgau Alps and is both a Kneipp centre and a climate health resort. We welcome you to the former Oberstdorf hunting lodge and holiday home of the noble von Geldern family. The hotel was built in 1911 and in 1998 was refurbished, elegantly and true to the original style, in a sophisticated Laura Ashley style. Each room is a little treasure trove. A touch of the aristocratic still floats through the stairways of the house today. Make yourself comfortable by the open fireside in our cosy salon. In addition to the hotel's own sauna you can enjoy the 1000 m² wellness area and further facilities of our 5-star neighbour hotel Parkhotel Frank. With its alpine ski slopes on the Nebelhorn, Sollereck and Fellhorn/Kanzelwand Mountains, its cross country ski tracks, ice stadium and ski jumps, Oberstdorf is also a centre for winter sports and a popular destination for mountaineers.
