Entirely in classical white, the 200 year-old hotel exhibits itself in the center of historical Bad Doberan. The Palais was built in 1795 by the Duke of Mecklenburg Friedrich Franz as a guest house for his noble guests in Germany's very first seaside resort Bad Doberan with the "white town" and coastal Spa Heiligendamm. In the past few years the Palais has been fully renovated and restored. It now contains 50 comfortable guest rooms and suites. The restaurant, multifunctional event-and conference rooms, a sauna with fitness-and relax room as well as the saloons invite for enjoyment and relaxation. The hotel offers modern communications equipment, such as internet-PC and wireless LAN-both free of charge. The restaurant is named after the man responsible for the traditional style of this and many other buildings in Bad Doberan and Heiligendamm. Bad Doberan is situated west of the harbour town Rostock, surrounded by beautiful old beech wood forest and close to the Baltic Sea. The seaside health resort of Heiligendamm, the monastery "Doberaner Munster", the smalltrack steamtrain "Molli", Germany’s oldest horse racetrack and the wellness institutions have all made the town famous and much loved.
