Listed in Mansions of Melbourne, Fountain Terrace has recently undergone extensive renovations and is now a boutique hotel/bed and breakfast. A stately, free standing Victorian Residence Fountain Terrace has seven luxurious guest rooms . All of our rooms have been individually decorated and are named in honor of well-known Australian luminaries. All are ensuite with individually controlled air-conditioning/heating. Each part of the restoration was completed with guests comfort in mind. There is now a courtyard for guests use. A water feature, large glazed pots with citrus trees, a barbque and a long tuscan table beckon guests to linger a little longer. Fountain Terrace is located in a quiet, tree-lined street only minutes walk to trams, the Grand Prix Circuit, beach and of course a multitude of restaurants in Fitzroy Street. Walk or catch a tram to Acland Street and indulge in some excellent coffee and cake, stroll through boutique shops and tiny art galleries. The Esplanade Market on a Sunday is an experience in itself, and the yacht clubs and marina make this a wonderful place to visit. At the end of your busy day, return to the quiet of Fountain Terrace and relax before heading off to the theatre or a show.
