The Fortezza de' Cortesi is a villa set out on a hilltop so guests may look out over the Tuscan countryside. It is located near the medieval-walled town of San Gimignano. Nearby are such historic towns as Florence, Siena and Volterra. The seaside is about an hour away. The nearest airport to the Fortezza de' Cortesi is located in Firenze, which is about 45 km away. San Gimignano, the nearest city, is about 5 km away. The Fortezza de' Cortesi has six spacious rooms. Three are three double rooms, two adjoining rooms, and a flat. Each room has air conditioning. The private bathrooms have a bathtub or shower, and a hairdryer. Each room is also equipped with an in-room safe. Antique tile floors, chestnut beams, arched ceilings and large fireplaces greet arrivals to the Fortezza de' Cortesi. There is a garden with terrace, a kitchen for the use of guests, and a lounge where one might watch TV. Guests may also enjoy the swimming pool, or a walk to the on-site farm where extra virgin olive oil, vegetables and aromatic herbs are produced or grown. The entire villa may be rented to host wedding parties.
