Erldunda Station is a 1200 square mile working cattle station 200 kilometers south of Alice Springs in the Northern Territory. Erldunda was established in the late 1800’s and successfully runs cattle and operates a traditional Bed and Breakfast in a fully self-contained 3-bedroom cottage separate from the main homestead. When you stay at Erldunda Station, you are in the heart of Central Australia. Uluru (Ayres Rock) and The Olgas is an easy day trip 250 km west, on your second day with us, you can also explore Kings Canyon, 240 km northwest.. Many guests say that staying with us and travelling to ‘The Rock’ makes their trip to the Red Centre much more affordable. Our fully self-contained cottage sleeps 6. Two generous size rooms with queen beds and one room with two singles, making it ideal for large families or couples travelling together (additional bedding is available upon request). Our cottage has a large bathroom with handrails in the shower making it accessible for wheelchairs and the disabled guest. Our rooms have ceiling fans and air conditioning in summer and a warm potbelly fire in winter. Guests love to enjoy a drink on the lawn and watch the sunset and the abundance of bird life fly into the nearby cattle yards for their evening drink. We are also in a great location for those guests interested in the evening sky – no street lights out here. You can access mobile phone coverage in our area if you have a ‘Next G’ phone. Your hosts John & Paula have spent 21 years on Erldunda Station. We take pride in offering good, affordable and clean accommodation. We enjoy our guests company and invite you to join us for an evening meal with our family where we can answer all your questions regarding our cattle operations, or you can cook your own meals in the fully equipped self-contained cottage.
