The sprawling colonial style residence of Jetwing Era Beach was originally designed by a protege of Sri Lanka?s renowned architect Geoffrey Bawa with a strong Dutch influence. The beaches of Unawatuna and Mirissa located nearby are ideal for swimming, snorkeling and surfing. The historic 17th century Galle Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with narrow streets lined with Dutch and British colonial era buildings is only a 10 min drive from the hotel. From Colombo?s international airport the luxurious boutique hotel will be about two hours via the Southern Expressway or take the Air Taxi, which offers flights from Colombo?s international airport directly to Koggala which is just 10 minutes away from Era Beach. The in house restaurant serves a range of dishes with a Mediterranean and Asian influence prepared with fresh seafood purchased daily from the local fisherfolk..Era Beach unfolds within two beautifully-refurbished colonial-period bungalows with sloping tiled roofs . An additional two-storey section houses the bedrooms and blends in seamlessly. The lobby is small.
