The charming historical Donington Manor hotel is situated in the centre of the small town of Castle Donington. It is a quiet and relaxing location, yet only a short distance from the city of Derby, which can be reached in about 25 minutes by car. Donington Park is approx. 3 km away, whilst Alton Towers theme park is some 65 km from the hotel. The nearest airport is East Midlands, just 5 km from the hotel. This beautifully appointed manor house was constructed in 1794 as a coaching inn on the main route from Nottingham to Ashby. It was originally named the Rawdon Hotel and was conceived and built by the Marquis of Hastings. Now a privately owned establishment providing a high level of service and intimacy, the hotel features a total of 32 rooms, including 15 suites. There is a reception hall with a cloakroom, as well as an on-site restaurant serving good food and drink. State of the art conference facilities are available, as is complimentary wi-fi Internet access. Room and laundry services are provided, and there is ample free parking for guests arriving by car. Every guest room at this hotel is unique, and there are rooms to suit most budgets and tastes. Some of the accommodation is cosy and simple. Other rooms are grand and imposing. Some are sleek and contemporary, and some are gloriously antique. All bedrooms come with complimentary wi-fi Internet access and tea and coffee making facilities. From East Midlands Airport: Turn left off of Viscount Road onto Ambassador Road. At the 3rd roundabout, take the 2nd exit onto the A453. Turn right after 322 metres. Leave the next roundabout at the 1st exit onto Hill Top. Go straight on down High Street into Castle Donington. From the M1: Exit the M1 at junction 25 in the direction of the A52. Take the 2nd exit from the roundabout onto Bostocks Lane. Turn right onto Longmoor Road. Enter the roundabout, and leave at the 4th exit onto Tamworth Road, then take the 3r exit from the next roundabout. Take the 1st exit of the next roundabout, and then exit the next roundabout at the 1st exit onto Station Road. Head straight on to Bondgate, heading straight down High Street into Castle Donington.
