D. Carlos Residencial has been totally redecorated this year. It is located opposite the city garden and it is only 50m away from the world's oldest health spa. Is situated at 8km from the beach, 30km from Nazare and Peniche, 5km from Obidos and 50km from Fatima. Caldas da Rainha is one of Portugal's most beautiful regions, offering its visitors numerous points of interest in its surrounding areas. We offer a bathroom, direct telephone, satellite TV and a safe in every room. We are open throughout the year, 24 hours a day, and we offer a welcoming familiar atmosphere. Beaches of Foz do Arelho: 7 km. Peniche: 25 km. S. Martinho do Porto: 15 km. Praia d'El Rei Country Club and golf club Beltico: 20 km. Serra d'El Rei: 15 km. Obidos: 7 km. Nazare: 30 km. Fatima: 40 km. Lisbon: 75 km - 40 minutes using the A8 highway. Enjoy a visit to one of the many musuems in or near Caldas da Rainha, like the Jose Malhoa museum (fine arts), Ceramics museum, Atelier Antonio Duarte, Bicycle museum and the Joao Fragoso museum. Likewise, you can explore the countryside, visit the beaches, take a boat trip to the Berlengas islands, discover the walled town of Obidos, enjoy the gastronomy of Peniche (caldeirada - fish soup), try the sweet pastry of Caldas da Rainha (trouxas, cavacas, beijinhos) or stroll along the daily fruit market. A visit to one of the ceramics workshops (Bordalo Pinheiro, Secla) is not to be missed. In this area, you can practise various sports, like golf and tennis (Praia d'El Rei complex) and water sports in Peniche and Foz do Arelho. By Car: - Take highway A8 (near Leiria from the north or in Lisbon from the south) and take exit 18 (Caldas da Rainha - Centre). - Once you are in Caldas da Rainha, you will see a garden Park D.Carlos on your left. - The hotel is just in front of the park, between the statue of the Queen and the Spa Hospital. By Bus: From Lisbon (approximately 70 minutes): The bus station is located 200 metres (5 minutes) from D. Carlos. By Train: Caldas da Rainha train station is located 500 metres from D. Carlos.
