Die Fonteine Guest House Die Fonteine is a luxury guest house, situated in the heart of the Cango Valley near Oudtshoorn. The guest house offers stylishly decorated en-suite rooms with beautiful views of the Schoemanshoek Valley and the spectacular Swartberg Mountain Range. All non-smoking rooms are provided wiht finest linen, towels, basic toiletries. Tea and coffee facilities, homemade rusks and sherry. Each room has its own private entrance, ensuring the privacy you deserve. Die Fonteine is ideally located for travellers exploring the Schoemanshoek Valley, Oudtshoorn and the surrounding area. Don't miss to drive through the Swartberg mountain range. There are several passes through the Swartberg Range, the most famous of which is the Swartberg Pass that runs between Oudtshoorn in the south and Prince Albert in the north. The pass is not tarred and can be a little treacherous after rain, but offers spectacular views over the Little Karoo and the Great Karoo to the north. Other famous activities in the Oudtshoorn area are The Cango Caves, Wilgewandel Holiday Farm, Cango Wildlife Ranch and Rus and Vrede Waterfall, which all are within a radius of 15 km from Die Fonteine. Within walking distance from the guest house you reach the Cango Ostrich Farm and Karusa Winery. So come and enjoy Die Fonteine and everything what makes Oudtshoorn so famous. The owner can help organise trips to the Karusa Winery(200 metres away), where guests can enjoy wine tasting with a cheese platter. It is also possible to order a picnic basket for a trip to the Rust and Vrede Waterfall(15km).
