The County Hotel is an historic former coaching inn situated in the centre of Kendal just minutes from the busy high street. English Lakeland is one of the best-loved and most beautiful regions in the British Isles. The sight and sound of water is never far away. Gushing waterfall, meandering rivers and tranquil lakes add magic and serenity, drawing visitors back time and time again. When it comes to food you will not be disappointed. Start the day with a hearty breakfast and in the evening look forward to mouth watering four course dinners guaranteed to satisfy the healthiest of appetites. Car Parking is available 90 yards form the hotel reception at £2. 50 per day or free on street parking is available but this can sometimes be difficult to find due to the location of the hotel. Frim junction 36 on the M6 take the A65 to Kendal. Follow the signs A6 North to Shap and Penrith, and the County is on the right hand side opposite the Railway Station entrance.
