The Comtat Sant Jordi Apartment hotel lies in a quiet location within the holiday area of Platja d'Aro, only a few minutes on foot from the beach, the beautiful San Jorge bay, and the city and tourist centre with its countless bars, restaurants, shops, and thriving nightlife. The nearest bus station is around 2 km away and the railway station is 40 km from the hotel. Links to the public transport network can be found in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. Barcelona airport is 120 km and Gerona airport 40 km away. Renovated in 2006, this modern air-conditioned apartment hotel consists of a main building and an annexe, and comprises a total of 167 apartments. Facilities on offer include a beautiful garden area, a terrace, a spacious foyer with 24-hour reception, and Internet access (charges apply). A caf, a kiosk, a small supermarket, a games room, a TV room, a cosy bar with a summer terrace, and a restaurant are also all available, as is a laundry service, a bicycle storage room and a bicycle hire service (charges apply). There are on-site parking spaces reserved for those arriving by car. The pleasantly appointed and air-conditioned apartments at the Comtat Sant Jordi come in two varieties: type 2/4 and type 4/6. The apartments of type 2/4 all come with a spacious en suite bathroom with hairdryer, an integrated living room/ bedroom, a separate bedroom, a folding double bed or a single bed, a direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV, a fully fitted American kitchen with fridge, a hire safe, and a furnished terrace. Air conditioning and central heating are adjustable in all the lodgings. Apartments of type 4/6 include all of the above and additionally feature two separate bedrooms. The outdoor complex features two swimming pools with an integrated children's area, a poolside snack bar, and a sun terrace with loungers and parasols laid out ready for use. Guests may also relax and enjoy themselves in the Jacuzzi or the solarium, while sports enthusiasts can try a game of table tennis, billiards, or golf. A diverse entertainment programme provides daily amusement for all guests. The restaurant enjoys panoramic views of the complex and it is characterised by an ample and varied buffet (drinks not included). A welcome cocktail is offered as well as a mini buffet breakfast in the caf 1 hour after the restaurant closes. Platja d'Aro is conveniently located so the hotel can easily be reached by public transport or by car. From the AP7 motorway, the hotel is 33 km away; from Route Nacional NII it is 30 km away and from the C25 it is 25 km away. Pets are permitted in the apartments- not in public areas.
