Recently refurbished and under new ownership, we are a small hotel and public house with an intimate restaurant, comfortable Library area with roaring open fires and we have an enormous garden for those lazy Pimmsical afternoons. We are hugely focused on the quality of our food, sourcing from the best local producers and purchasing our fish from Billingsgate on a weekly basis. Amongst other things: we smoke our fish and meat on the premises, grow our own vegetables in the garden where possible, get eggs from the local egg man, game from the shoot and place a major emphasis on quality and sustainability. Whether you are on business in the Newbury area, going to the nearby races, walking the Ridgeway or indulging in some quiet time we have the perfect location for you to relax and indulge yourself. We are just minutes off the A34, 10 minutes from Newbury and the M4 J13, and 25 minutes from Oxford. Dogs are welcome with well trained owners, please request dog beds if required. Sporting weekends can be arranged with the local Gun clubs and Shoots and we can provide secure storage for Shotguns. Wellies, maps, and packed lunches are all available for the ramblers and Bikes can be locked away inside the building. Conference facilities are available and we have Wi-Fi and projection facilities on site. Weddings, Christenings and parties are easily catered for in our private room and local entertainment can be booked via reception. We look forward to seeing you soon. All at the Swan
