The Colonial on Tay boasts a convenient location that places guests within close proximity of a variety of attractions. Guests can visit Bluff Hill Lookout, which offers an impressive view of Stewart Island, or can catch the ferry over and spend the entire day exploring the area. Other nearby points of interest include Bill Richardson’s Truck Museum (visit must be booked in advanced), Cycle Velodrome, Stadium Southland, and the World’s Fastest Indian display. Guests flying in can arrange for one of the Colonial on Tay’s staff to meet them at the airport. The Colonial on Tay is comprised of 8 one bedroom units and 2 two bedroom units, all of which come with underfloor heating and Sky TV. DVD players are available upon request. Continental and cooked breakfasts are available to be delivered to guests’ rooms each morning. During times of leisure travelers can talk with friends and family back home using the Colonial on Tay’s high speed Internet access. Laundry service is offered so that guests can enjoy having clean clothing throughout their stay. Pets are allowed.
