The Claerwen Retreat is an Apollo Bay hotel that overlooks the Great Ocean Road. It is the highest point in the area and was rated 3-½ stars. The hotel was built over an old aboriginal site. The Claerwen Retreat is approximately 90 miles from the airport. Near the hotel, there are buses that go to Geelong and Warrnambool that stop at the Visitor Information Centre on the Great Ocean Road. All of the Claerwen Retreat’s guestrooms are comfortably furnished with both traditional and modern amenities. There are different types of rooms with varying amenities to better accommodate guests’ needs. Situated on 130 acres of park, bush and fern gullies, the Claerwen Retreat offers various amenities such as an outdoor pool, a saltwater pool, and a hot spa. Guests can also access the tennis courts on site. Hotel guests can design an individual wellness program with in-house massage treatments, beauty treatments, facials, meditation, yoga and art classes.
