The City-Hotel-Garni-Diez is a pet-friendly, family-run Rhineland hotel in a small town in close vicinity to Limburg an der Lahn and the border of the Nassau Nature Park. Recently renovated, the City-Hotel-Garni-Diez is a small budget hotel with 10 guest rooms. Among its new facilities will be 4 meeting rooms of various sizes, suitable for conferences, seminars, and private parties. The hotel has abundant free parking for guests’ vehicles, including vans and vehicles with trailers; visitors can store their bikes in the lockable bike room on the ground floor. The multilingual staff (speaking English, Russian, and French) can provide breakfast in the lounge, subject to charges. The City-Hotel-Garni-Diez is located on a quiet side street near the centre of Diez, within walking distance of the main square (Marktplatz) and the Lahn River. The town’s main attraction is to the north—Oranienstein Castle, built between 1672 and 1681 for members of the Dutch royal family. Today the restored castle is home to a regional museum, with historical exhibits and special exhibits for children. East of Diez, the city of Limburg an der Lahn (often shortened to just Limburg) is known for its many almost unscathed medieval buildings. From the City-Hotel-Garni-Diez, it’s approx. 7.7 km/4.8 miles to the Limburg Sud (Limburg South) railway station, which has regular Intercity-Express (ICE) service on the Cologne-Frankfurt high-speed rail line.
