The enchanting Cinnamon Lodge Hotel is surrounded by three nature reserves amidst acres of tall trees in the little town of Habarana, located within the heartland of the Cultural Triangle in Sri Lanka. There are 112 tastefully furnished and comfortable guestrooms with modern amenities and guests are treated to real Sri Lankan hospitality. Large gardens are filled with gigantic tropical trees and tranquil waterways all providing home to a variety of birds, grey monkeys and rock squirrels. Truly a magical spot to get away from it all! Colombo Airport is 220 km from the hotel. Local Tips: The Lodge is perfectly positioned for visits to the ancient heritage sites of Sigiriya, Dambulla, Polonnaruwa and the Minneriya wildlife sanctuary, all comfortably within an hour's drive. FACILITIES: Food, drink and entertainment: There are several dining choices including the Ahala open air restaurant overlooking the pool and surrounded by Frangipani trees with an a la carte and set menu, themed dinging, and BBQs in the gardens. The signature Lotus restaurant overlooks the pool and the fish pond, and the Tuskers Bar presents the legendary Cinnamon tea collection prepared in style, specialty coffees, aperitifs, cigars from the exclusive cigar collection. The Tuskers Bar also has a library filled with titles on Sri Lankan heritage and wildlife. Sports, games and activities: Large swimming pool, table tennis, Badminton, Ayurveda wellness centre with an extensive herbal and medicinal garden, an experienced Ayurveda Physician and a wide menu of therapies including traditional massages, baths, and scrubs using herbal oils. There is an in-house Naturalist always at hand for bird watching excursions, guided walks, nature trails, and providing information on the surrounding fauna and flora. Excursions are available for Elephant safaris, and picnics in the surrounding nature reserves.
