Chough's Nest Hotel is an idyllic family-run retreat, right in the heart of Exmoor. Nestled high above Lynmouth, on the breathtaking North Devon coast, this former Victorian gentleman's residence offers you complete tranquillity and quite possibly the best views in Lynton. The picturesque towns of Lynton Lynmouth boast numerous shops and boutiques as well as a cinema. The nearby Valley of Rocks, with it remarkable rock formations, is just a brief walk along the coastal path. You can take a trip on the world famous Cliff Railway, which transports you down to Lynmouth and its charming harbour or discover the equally beautiful Lyn River Valley and Watersmeet tea rooms. An ideal base for walkers and cyclists alike, Lynton and Lynmouth allow you to discover a wealth of footpaths and trails just waiting to be explored. Open all year round - except for Christmas and New Year - Chough's Nest Hotel is a unique starting point from which you can roam the unspoilt scenic Exmoor Hills or the rural market towns of North Devon. Chough's Nest Hotel is owned by John and Rosemary Hodges, who personally run the hotel along with their three eldest daughters, Victoria, Kate and Helen. Exmoor National Park offers ample opportunity to go walking, cycling, horse riding and fishing whilst enjoying the rugged and breathtaking scenery and wildlife. There are many places of interest and heritage sites in North Devon and Somerset as well as local attractions such as the world famous Lynton Lynmouth Cliff Railway.
