Cheswick House accommodation is set within very tranquil gardens approximately 5 miles south of the town of Berwick Upon Tweed. Elderberry Lodge accommodation is grade 2 listed and is completely detached situated on the boundary wall to the East of the main house. The property has a cosy living room with log burner and flat screen TV. The bedroom has a four poster bed, bathroom is equipped with a whirlpool bath and shower. A pine kitchen with washer/dryer, fridge freezer and dishwasher. Secluded south facing private garden to rear. The first floor Garden Apartment has been created in the west wing of the main house. It has two double bedrooms and one single. The master bedroom has en suite shower room, four poster bed, flat screen TV with free view and DVD. A large fitted dining kitchen overlooks the walled garden is ideal for evening dining. Large lounge with garden views, flat screen TV. Ample books, games etc. Utility room. Top quality soft furnishings have been used throughout to make your holiday experience as comfortable as possible throughout. Guests are encouraged to use the gardens for quiet relaxation and the tennis court for more energetic activity. The main feature of the gardens is the Victorian Walled Garden. Elsewhere there are “garden rooms” with a Gertrude Jykyll influence. Cheswick has its own microclimate and much of the gardens are surrounded by an eight foot wall which provides a haven for deer, badgers and a wonderful selection of bird life. Northumberland is one of the countries best kept secrets. From Cheswick you are in an ideal spot to explorer the best of North Northumberland. Goswick Beach is half a mile from Cheswick House. This long stretch of white sandy beach is often populated by only the odd dog walker. From the beach you can walk along the coast south to Holy Island or northwards to Berwick. It is also an ideal location for visiting Holy Island. Alnwick Castle, Bamburgh Castle, Dunstanburgh Castle and Warkworth Castle. Hotel Rating: Self Assessed 4 star
