The charming historical Chateau Grattequina hotel is located near Bordeaux (8 km) and is ideally situated for guests wishing to discover the Mdoc region and its vineyards, for example Margaux and Pauillac (around 20 km), or Saint Emilion (around 45 km away) and the famous Arcachon Bay (around 50 km away). Bordeaux St. Jean train station is approximately 15 km away and Bordeaux Mrignac Airport is roughly 15 km from the accommodation. This historical hotel, which has been renovated with great concern for authenticity and detail, is a superb example of 19th century architecture. It offers a romantic setting, overlooking the Garonne River from its terrace and lounges. The hotel features 10 luxurious bedrooms offering exceptional views over the river, and is fully air-conditioned. Guests are welcomed into a lobby with a hotel safe, and on-site facilities include lift access, a caf, a bar, a breakfast room, conference facilities and free WIFI Internet access. Room and laundry services are provided and guests arriving by car can leave their vehicles in the private car park for a fee. These rooms have been luxuriously decorated and offer an air of elegance and refinement. The rooms come equipped with double beds, a direct dial telephone, flat-screen satellite/cable TV, a modem plug, a safe, a minibar, tea and coffee making facilities, an ironing set and individually regulated air conditioning and heating. All of the accommodation units feature a private bathroom with a hairdryer and open onto the Garonne River. One room has facilities for disabled guests. Terraces are available. This establishment is home to a charming outdoor swimming pool with a poolside snack bar on hand to provide convenient refreshments. The sun terrace features sun loungers and parasols for guests' use, whilst those wishing to play a round of golf can visit the course at Bordeaux Lac, which is around 10 minutes' walk from the accommodation. A continental breakfast buffet is served each morning in the breakfast room, and lunches and dinners are available from the la carte menus. Take exit 4C from the Rocade (ring road motorway) when coming from Mrignac Airport, or exit 4 if coming from Paris. Then follow the signs to Bordeaux Nord and then Parempuyre. From the centre of Bordeaux: Follow the signs to Bordeaux Nord and then to Parempuyre. The reception desk is open from 7 am to 9 pm in the low season and from 7 am to 11 pm in the high season. Check-in is from 3 pm to 7 pm. Guests are requested to inform reception in advance of any late arrivals. Check-out is by 12 noon on the day of departure.
