This family-friendly Casuarina Resort & Spa hotel lies by the northwest coast, overlooking the lagoon. It is 5 km from the lively town of Grand Bay and 18 km from the capital, Port Louis. The nearby white sandy beach can be accessed by crossing a secondary road. This air-conditioned hotel comprises 93 rooms, is in Grecian style and is surrounded by a lush tropical garden. Cosy and friendly, the air-conditioned accommodation is ideal for a relaxing and peaceful holiday. There is a lobby with a 24-hour reception and check-out service, a hotel safe and currency exchange facilities. Further on-site amenities include bar, casino, games room, restaurants and conference facilities. Room and laundry services are provided, and guests arriving by car can leave their vehicles in the hotel's own private car park. Younger guests will appreciate the kids' club and playground and guests looking to explore the local surroundings can hire bikes from reception. The hotel offers 81 superior and 12 standard rooms. All of the guest rooms feature beautiful colours and have been charmingly decorated. In addition to an en suite bathroom with a shower, facilities include a hairdryer, direct dial telephone, satellite TV, radio, minibar and a safe. The rooms have been fitted with individually regulated air conditioning units as well as a balcony or terrace. Each evening entertainment is provided by a live band or musical group, as well as by the well-known Mauritian sega and Indian or Arabian shows. The hotel features two outdoor swimming pools with poolside snack bar and sun loungers and parasols laid out poolside. There is also a hot tub, steam room and gym, and spa and massage treatments are available. A range of sporting activities are available, such as tennis, table tennis, badminton, biking, pool/snooker, windsurfing, waterskiing, diving, surfing, pedal boating, rowing, glass-bottom boating and kayaking. The children's entertainment programme will keep younger guests busy. The hotel offers bed and breakfast, half-board and full-board stays. Breakfast is served buffet or continental-style, and midday and evening meals can be enjoyed la carte, from a buffet or from a set menu. From the city of Port Louis, take the motorway as far as Terre Rouge roundabout. Turn left here and keep going straight until reaching the Arsenal village. At the lights, turn left and keep going straight until reaching the village of Trou aux Biches.
