As a friendly family run hotel, we offer comfortable accommodation, home cooked food, a selection of real ales and a malt whisky selection of over 200. We offer a range of rooms either outside in our cottage style buildings in the hotel grounds or in the main building. All rooms have one double or twin single beds with single sofa beds available(on request at an additional charge). We welcome families and well behaved pets are also welcome in our cottage room outside accommodation. Our Restaurant and Lounge Bars offer a choice of options for food, all of which is home cooked with puddings to die for! (Please note that the Restaurant may be subject to availability at weekends, Bar Meals are always available however). We are informal, comfortable and straightforward. Our guests come back again and again and call us their second home! We have bookable meeting facilities and lots of free private car parking also. The small village of Castlecary, sits just off the A80 with the hotel being the only hotelpublic houserestaurant in the village, therefore also being the 'Local'.Strategically situated in the heart of Central Scotland, and very near Scotland's main motorway network, M8M9M73M74 we are easily accessible by all means of transport. (Please be aware of roadworks in the area until late 2011. Follow diversion signs for Castlecary)All the major towns and cities of Central Scotland, as well as some of the countries most beautiful scenery, such as The Trossachs and Loch Lomond, as well as tourist attractions are within easy reach of us providing an ideal base for leisure or business travel. Attractions such as the outstanding Falkirk Wheel, Stirling Castle and the Forth and Clyde Canal are only a short distance away. We are also only 250yards from the Antonine Wall, which has World Heritage Status, Scotland's fifth heritage site. We understand that this site was once one of nineteen forts along the length of the wall, however there is little to see now. We hope that in being granted this status, there will be some upgrading to this part of the site and easier access for visitors. However, it is still worth visiting, with a little imagination!
