This hotel is situated in the surroundings of Rochefort, a city that has retained its cultural and architectural traditions as well as its natural and cultural riches. The city centre with its bars, nightclubs and sights of interest (La Corderie Royale, L'Hermione and the marine museum) and railway station is approx. 3 km from the hotel. Rochefort provided the setting for Jacques Demy's musical comedy Les Demoselles de Rochefort (with Catherine Deneuve and Gene Kelly) and affords all the charms of a listed country town. The sea is around 8 km away. The islands of Olron, Aix and R with their wonderful bays and horizons are less than 30 minutes by car away. Rochefort profits from the fresh ocean air, that blows in off the nearby Atlantic. La Rochelle airport is roughly 30 km from the hotel. The business hotel comprises 47 rooms, a reception, a TV room, conference rooms, facilities for wheelchair users, a bar and a restaurant with a smoking area. Parking facilities are also available. The rooms have an en suite bathroom and all the modern fittings that guests require. They are well furnished and include a direct dial telephone, cable TV and tea/coffee making facilities. Bed and breakfast can be booked. Guests may serve themselves from the buffets at breakfast, lunch and dinner. From Paris: Take the A10 direction Bordeaux, exit at N34 then take the N137 direction Rochefort. From La Rochelle: Take the N137 followed by the A837, exiting at exit #2. At the roundabout proceed towards Niort. From Saintes: Take the N137 direction La Rochelle > Tonnay Charente > Rochefort Nord. From Bordeaux A10 exit Saintes > A837 Rochefort > exit #32 + roundabout Niort. Rochefort Railwaystation: 2km. Airport: Bordeaux Merignac 132Km. From Rochefort city centre: direction Niort Surgres. The reception closes at 11 pm. Anyone wishing to arrive later than 11 pm should call beforehand so as to be given the entry code.
