The Calmar Stadshotell hotel is situated on the main square in Stortorget, in the very centre of Kalmar, whith the whole of Kalmar on its doorstep as well as a real piece of medieval history. The shopping and business districts are also located in the immediate vicinity. The train station is within walking distance and the airport bus stops just outside the hotel. Kalmar's main atrractions are just a few minutes away: Kalmar Castle, lands Zoo, Kingdom Of Crystal, several beaches and several golf courses. Vaxjo is an hour away by car. This city hotel is a magnificent art nouveau building that brings together the old and the new. This historic hotel is known for its friendly atmosphere, and has a function suite, crystal chandeliers and a library with leather arm-chairs. It also offers excellent facilities for both conferences and celebrations. It is the perfect choice for both leisure and business travellers. The building dates back to 1907 and was renovated in 2006. It offers 126 rooms spread over 4 floors. It has a lobby with 24-hour reception, hotel safe and a currency exchange facility.
