Buenos Aires Base is a complex of 10 apartments with its own outdoor swimming pool, a deck, a grilling area, and a solarium. It has 24 hour security, and for an additional charge the friendly staff can assist you with shuttle service, garage parking, laundry service, housekeeping, short-term cell phone rental, and deliveries from nearby supermarkets and restaurants. The building is accessible for the disabled. The apartments are located in the picturesque Palermo Viejo (Old Palermo) neighbourhood in the northeast of Buenos Aires. Waves of immigrants from Spain, Italy, Poland, Armenia, Ukraine, and Lebanon have brought their traditions to this colourful residential area. Buenos Aires Base is approx. a 15 minute walk from the Alto Palermo Shopping Centre and a similar distance from the Buenos Aires Botanical Garden (sometimes called the Carlos Thays Botanical Garden). Farther to the east is the Palermo Woods, a large park also called Parque Tres de Febrero with lakes, a rose garden, Japanese gardens, a zoo, and the Galileo Galilei planetarium.
