The Boix Mar Hotel is a modern property situated 70 metres from the beach and one kilometre from Blanes town centre. Girona-Costa Brava Airport is 30 kilometres away and can be reached in around half an hour by car. The hotel features an outdoor pool which is surrounded by a sun terrace complete with an open-air spa tub. The terrace is dotted with sun loungers, and cocktails are served in the informal, modern bar. Other amenities include a 24-hour front desk and a billiards table. Motorists will find garage parking on site (for a small surcharge). The hotel's restaurant offers a varied buffet for breakfast and dinner daily and during the summer months the hotel offers a programme of activities, including live music and discos. Blanes offers four kilometres of easy-to-reach sandy beaches, as well as picturesque coves nestled among rock formations characteristic of the Costa Brava. The town was originally a fishing village, and visitors can still watch the local fishing fleet returning to the harbour, see the fish being auctioned and taste the catch of the day at one of the harbour-front restaurants.
