The Black Bull Inn lies at the western end of the agricutural village of Lowick, which has been awarded a gold rating ' Lowick in bloom'. Nestling between the Holy Island of Lindisfarne and the Cheviot hills, the Inn provides a superb location for visiting the Northumbrian coast, the Holy Island of Lindisfarne, the Scottish borders and the Cheviots. Within easy travelling distance is Bamburgh, the ancient capital of Northumbria and Seahouses, a coastal village from where you may take trips to visit the birds and seal colonies of the Farne islands. The ancient border town of Berwick with its medieval ramparts is a short drive away and offers all main services. Travel in any northerly direction from the Inn and within a short while you will be into Scotland. Edinburgh is just over an hours journey to the north and Newcastle the same distance to the south.
