The Bayberry Inn of Newport is one of the oldest hotels in Newport. It is situated in the city’s historic district, not far from a number of attractions. The famous Newport Mansions, the Castle Hill Lighthouse, the Newport Art Museum, The International Tennis Hall of Fame and the Newport harbor all offer wonderful sightseeing opportunities. Newport’s waterfront is quite close and offers a range of sailing, yachting, fishing and other beach activities. Providence airport is roughly 30 miles from downtown Newport. There is a local shuttle service that provides transportation from the airport to the Bayberry Inn of Newport for a fee. The Bayberry Inn of Newport's guestrooms are all different from one another. Rooms feature luxuries including fireplaces and private baths with 2-person Jacuzzi tubs. Rooms all come with hair dryer, iron, air conditioning, cable television or VCR, telephone, and high speed wireless Internet access. The Bayberry Inn of Newport is an 1837 Spanish Victorian building, fully restored in 2003 with lovely landscaping and a wrap-around porch where guests may relax in the day or evening.
