The Basma Aswan hotel enjoys a great location opposite the Nubian Museum. Situated on the highest hill in Aswan, guests here may look forward to unique views over the River Nile and the city. Both the Nile Cornish and the city centre with its diverse markets are only approximately 15 minutes from the hotel. This business hotel comprises a total of 200 rooms and suites and is ideal for both tourists and those on business. The modern hotel is a home from home and features lively Mediterranean gardens. A true milestone in the world of hospitality, this establishment was landscaped and decorated by two of Egypt's top artist and also incorporates an extensive collection of original artworks. Facilities on offer include a lobby area with a reception desk manned around the clock, hotel safes, a currency exchange facility, and lift access. The hotel also has a selection of shops, a bar and the Lotus restaurant. Room and laundry services are additionally on offer (charges apply), and there is parking available for those arriving by car. The comfortably furnished rooms and suites are set amongst Mediterranean gardens and all come with an en suite bathroom, a direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV, a radio, an Internet connection, a small fridge, a double or king-size bed, and either a balcony or terrace as standard. The air conditioning and heating are centrally regulated. In the outdoor complex there are two swimming pools (one of which is heated) and a sun terrace with loungers and parasols, as well as a poolside snack bar and spectacular views. A massage service is also available (at an extra charge). Felucca trips are also organised. In addition, guests may take advantage of the motor boat, which runs to the neighbouring Basma island, four hectares in size, which is ideal for picnics. Guests may select their breakfast and evening meal from buffets; lunch and dinner may alternatively be taken la carte. Elegant dining is offered in the restaurant, where modern buffets and la carte menus with international influences are available. From the garden terrace, guests may enjoy the sunset over the Nile and the surrounding desert. Guests may enjoy nature and at the same time make use of the excellent service here. Furthermore, some of the bars offer refreshing cocktails and snacks all day long. It is possible to book a bed & breakfast, a half board, or a full board stay.
