This cosy hotel, family owned since 1875, is situated in the car free city centre. Relax in one of the luxurious guest rooms, and enjoy the great natural surroundings. Surrounded by forests, meadows and heath, the guest can choose from a wide range of leisure activities like cycling, hiking, horse riding, tennis, sailing on the lakes, and more. The Dolfinarium (dolphin zoo) is at just 350 metres from the hotel and the nice city centre is ideal for a relaxing stroll, some shopping, and a cup of coffee in a cafe. Since 2009 Best Western Hotel Baars features 15 new luxurious rooms with air conditioning and bathroom floor heating. Harderwijk is uniquely situated town in the centre of the Netherlands, between the lakes and the Veluwe-massif. It is surrounded by nature, with forests, meadows and heath, giving the hotel guest the opportunity to choose from a wide range of leisure activities like cycling, hiking, horse riding, playing tennis, renting a boat etc. It is also possible to relax in a sauna or beauty resort in the surroundings. Within a radius of 15 kilometres you will find 4 golf courses with a NGF-status (Dutch Golf Federation). The Dolfinarium (dolphin zoo) is at just 350 metres from the hotel and the nice boulevard is the ideal starting point for making a trip by boat on the lakes. By Car: - From the A28 motorway between Zwolle and Amersfoort, exit Ermelo/Harderwijk West. - Coming from Zwolle, turn right at the traffic lights. If coming from Amersfoort, turn left. - You will pass a railway station with the railway station on your left-hand side. - At the next crossing, go straight ahead. - Pass the next crossing with the SNS-bank at the corner and continue driving straight. - At the right side of this road, you will find Hotel Baars. - From the Flevopolder, head across the Knardijk. - At the first traffic lights, proceed straight ahead and at the 2nd set of traffic lights, head to the right. - At the roundabout, drive straight ahead and at the next crossing with traffic lights, continue driving straight ahead. - You will now arrive at a crossing, where you have to turn right. - Pass the next crossing with the SNS-bank at the corner and continue driving straight. - At the right side of this road, you will find Hotel Baars.
