The Sole e Monti is a small Quenza hotel in the mountains of southern Corsica. Quenza, at an altitude of 810 metres/2655 feet, is considered the most beautiful mountain village in the Corse-du-Sud (South Corsica) district of France. The Sole e Monti (Italian for Sun and Mountains) is a multi-storey hotel with landscaped gardens and a patio dining area with umbrella tables. The restaurant receives positive reviews for its excellent cuisine, specializing in local dishes such as trout, boar, suckling pig, and lamb. There’s also a hotel bar and free parking for hotel guests. At the foot of the Aiguilles de Bavella (the Bavella Needles), Quenza is the perfect launching point for explorations of the mountains of southern Corsica. Popular destinations include the Plateau du Coscione, the Incudine massif, the Asinao Col, and Bavella Pass. Quenza is approx. 46 km/28.6 miles northwest of Porto-Vecchio, where many ferries from Italy and Sardinia dock, and 72.4 km/45.9 miles from the beautiful port city of Bonifacio.
