Athenry is located on the seafront.overlooking the Irish sea. It offers a warm friendly welcome to families and couples and small groups of friends. We offer free child places for children aged 5 to 12 sharing with 2 adults,unfortunately we have no facilities for infants and toddlers,so only children aged five and above are accepted at the Athenry. Single sex groups of more than four are not accepted. We aim for guests to have a peacefull relaxing break here,so to this end Hen and Stag parties are not accepted. The Athenry is set in a beautifull position overlooking the sea,our front rooms have panoramic views across the Irish sea and across Morcambe Bay to the mountains of Cumbria. Some 1.5 miles to Blackpool town centre,a bus service and the new high speed tram system are outside the door taking you into town quickly and affordably. The Athenry as nine letting rooms on the first and second floors,five of which have sea views. All rooms at the Athenry are en-suite,with tv,hairdryers,tea and coffee making facilities. We have a sun lounge as well as a spacious television lounge. We have a bike store for guests with bikes,and of course very important free forecourt parking. For your convenience rooms are serviced daily,and late keys are available. A full english breakfast is served,and given prior notice special dietary needs can be catered for. As mentioned we are not on the doorstep of the town with its bars and clubs,so if thats what you want please do not book with us,we do not want unhappy guests. We are some 1.5 miles from the attractions,i.e Tower,Piers,Town and Rides minutes by public transport. Across the road from the beach,miles of golden sands,and clifftop paths to take you in to Blackpool town,or over to Cleveleys in the other direction. Our aim is to offer our guests a good bed and breakfast at affordable prices in a friendly guest house. Athenry is pronounced Rye at the end. Hotel Rating: Self Assessed 3 star
