The Arden Country House is a friendly bed and breakfast, nestled in a grove of trees, just off State Highway 1 and on the corner with the northern end of Waitati Valley Rd, a 15 minute drive from Dunedin city centre and to Port Chalmers as well as to the Forsythe Barr Stadium for Rugby World Cup games. The drive from here to Port Chalmers has been descibed as one of the most scenic in the country as well as the train trip. 10 minutes to the university and the hospital. Even closer is the Orokonui Ecosanctuary and a local store which is opposite a cafe. 45 minutes to Moeraki and the Otago Peninsula. We are on the cycleway from Dunedin. We offer three great bed and breakfast rooms and a very affordable self-contained cottage for groups up to five people. Plenty of off street parking. Incidentally you choose what time you want breakfast. Stay with us and enjoy the panoramic rural views on our 3.5 acre property. Enjoy also feeding the sheep including the earless Amber and shaking hands with Lady Jane (a cocker spaniel)
