This intimate Galicia hotel is located in the town of Cervo, near the natural beauty of mountains, forests, and beaches on the Bay of Biscay. The Hotel Anatur is in an early 20th-century brick building that has been expertly remodeled to provide spacious, comfortable accommodations in 8 guest rooms. Throughout many of the hotel’s public areas—especially the lounge, the library, and on the outdoor decks—you can hear the sound of the Xunco River as it flows alongside the building. Both dinner and a breakfast buffet are served in the elegant rustic dining room. On the outskirts of the town of Cervo, the Anatur hotel is located in the village of Santiago de Sargadelos, known as the home of the Royal Factory of Sargadelos, maker of blue-and-white glazed ceramics that are considered the finest pottery in Galicia. Among the local landmarks are the ceramics museum, the Cervo town square, and 18th-century homes such as the Pazo do Sargadelos Marquis. From Cervo it’s a short drive to the coastal fishing town of San Cibrao (also spelled San Ciprian) which has a good maritime museum (Museo del Mar). Two nearby Blue Flag beaches, Playa de O Torno and Playa de Cubelas, are excellent destinations for surfing and water sports. The Hotel Anatur is approx. 20 km/12.4 miles from Viveiro and 44 km/27.3 miles from Ribadeo.
