The Akyra Chura Samui is a new chic luxury resort, built in 2011, with 61 rooms and suites. It enjoys a peaceful location, but is nevertheless close to energetic and lively Chaweng. Within the hotel itself, many facilities are offered, including a caf, bar and restaurant. Other facilities at this air-conditioned establishment include a lobby, 24-hour reception and check-out services, a hotel safe and currency exchange facilities. Wireless Internet access is provided. The hotel offers room service and a laundry service. Guests may also make use of the car park and bicycle hire service. The resort is located on the white sandy beach of Chaweng, 50 minutes from Nathorn Pier. The hotel is close to many tourist attractions, and the hotel's reception can assist in arranging transportation. Guests will find the centre of Chaweng around 2 km away and the nearest restaurants and bars just some 10 m from the hotel. Chaweng Beach is around 2 minutes' walk away. The Big Buddha Temple is some 7.1 km away and the Fishermen's Village is around 8.5 km away. The hotel is only 15 minutes' drive away from Samui Airport. The resort features 3 types of accommodation units: Deluxe, Grand Deluxe and One Bedroom Suites. All of them have big balconies for relaxing. Moreover, complimentary wireless Internet access, a safety box, LCD TV with cable channels, a radio, direct dial telephone and minibar are available in the guest rooms. The en suite bathroom offers a bath, an indoor and outdoor showering room and there is a separate WC. A hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities and an ironing set are also provided. The rooms have double or king-size beds and air conditioning. Guests can enjoy the beachside swimming pool while sipping a drink at the pool bar. There is also a children's swimming area, and sun loungers and parasols are laid out ready for use. Guests can relax and be pampered at the spa, with signature spa treatments and massages, and there is a gym with high-quality equipment and various activities, like yoga, to keep guests fit and healthy. A range of water sports are available, including diving, surfing, windsurfing, sailing, catamaran boating and canoeing. Other sporting options include tennis, minigolf, golf and biking. The hotel also organises entertainment programmes for adults and children. Sun loungers and parasols are provided on the nearby sandy beach. The all-day-dining traditional Japanese restaurant provides breakfast, lunch and dinner. It features cuisine by an award-winning chef from Japan. Half-board and full-board bookings are available. Guests can also choose South American grill dishes and seafood at Barracuda Restaurant. The resort can assist in arranging a limousine service for the 10-minute drive to Chaweng centre. Guests may check in from 2 pm and are required to check out by 12 midday.
