Housed in a building dating back to 1920 and renovated in 2008, this historical design hotel comprises a total of 15 rooms as well as one of the best restaurants in Barcelona, with 2 Michelin stars. The hotel also has a wonderful garden and is ideal for both holidaymakers and business travellers alike. Facilities on offer to guests at this air-conditioned establishment include a lobby area with a 24-hour reception and check-out service, a hotel safe, a currency exchange facility, a cloakroom and lift access. It also offers a cafe, a bar and a pub, conference facilities and WLAN/Internet access. Guests may take advantage of the room and laundry services and there is a car park and covered garage parking for those arriving by car. This hotel is located in Sarria-Sant Gervasi, in the upper zone of Barcelona, with views of Placa Kennedy and surrounded by the vegetation of La Tamarita gardens. It lies close to the most important areas of the city and is 5 minutes' drive from Placa de Catalunya. It is 700 m to the Museo de la Ciencia and 2 km to Gaudi's Parc Gull and the Cuadrat d'Or as well as Barcelona football club. The Palacio de Congresos/Exhibition grounds are 3 km away. Barcelona Airport is just 12 km from the hotel. The rooms all feature neutral and comfortable design. Particular emphasis has been laid on the design of the bathrooms, so that instead of merely being a functional room, they become part of the main design, integrated into the concept of luxury, neutral tones and elegance which governs the rest of the interiors. The rooms are fully soundproofed and offer wood flooring, individually adjustable air conditioning and heating, WLAN Internet access and a telephone. They are also equipped with Pay-per-view TV with satellite and digital channels, a DVD player, a Merten remote control for lights and blinds, a Treca de Paris mattress and a browser with Microsoft Office pack. Furthermore, linen sheets, fabrics by Gastn y Daniela, a desk, slippers, a wardrobe, a hydro massage bath with chromotherapy unit and a rain-effect shower are provided in all accommodation as standard. Guests will find a hairdryer, a radio, a stereo system, a minibar, a king-size bed and a safe provided in their room and all accommodation features a terrace. The hotel features a fully equipped spa with 2 treatment cabins where guests can let themselves be pampered by the hotel's specialists. It features a heated swimming pool, a spa tub, a sauna and a steam bath as well as offering massage and spa treatments. The hotel restaurant, run by head chef Xavier Pellicer, has been awarded 2 Michelin stars. Decorated in natural tones, it offers oval tables so that guests can eat facing the garden and they may also visit the kitchen. As well as the restaurant, there is a breakfast room where private dinners or lunches may be served, a Lounge Bar, with co-ordinated music and coloured lighting shows and a wine bar with more than 800 sorts of wine to choose from.
